A major problem in today?s society is the numbers of people who are addicted to drugs, one of the most addictive and debilitating being heroin. Hundreds of people die each year as a result overdosing on drugs that are not safe to use. There is also the problem of dirty needles being littered. These needles can carry deadly diseases such as AIDS and Hepatitis, therefore innocent people are put at risk if by chance, they make contact with a dirty needle. The government has now decided to take the initiative and open the ?safe injecting rooms?.
The first thing that needs to be addressed is the placement of these rooms. Which suburbs will they be in Would you feel comfortable if one was opened around the corner from you How would you react if you knew that people under the influence of these drugs were roaming the streets around your house These are all questions that you need to ask yourself before you agree not knowing the consequences. The drugs also need to be sold and bought somewhere, drug dealers are going to flock to the immediate area of the rooms looking for people to
