SYNOPSIS:
Tension exists between two individuals for obvious reasons. The tension between G.
Richard Thoman and Paul A. Allaire dates back to when Allaire was replaced as Chief Executive
Officer of Xerox by Thoman. Although Allaire still held position as chairman, this still created
quite a bit of rivalry between the two. When Xerox began losing money, the tides turned and
Allaire was put back into the spotlight. That was all it took for Thoman to be replaced and sent
home.
Accompanied by this rivalry was the whirlwind antics of Xerox?s stock. Each change in
the CEO sparked about a specific change in the overall appearance of the said stock. When
Thoman came into office the stock hit an all-time high, only to be replaced later with
