The Third-Floor Bedroom
The third floor room of the cabin was glowing with laughter and the radiance of young boys, playing with their new Christmas presents. The morning was fresh, and yet the kids had been up for hours, playing and giggling and drinking hot cocoa. Today was the big day for us all, the day that we got a whole bunch of new toys to play with. They were also happy because they didn?t have to go to school for about two weeks, a tradition that the boys looked forward to every school year.
My family and friends had rented a cabin up in the mountains, far away from any civilization, to spend the Christmas break. We went to the cabin, expecting peace and quiet, but all we got, were a bunch of screams and yells at 3 in the morning from a bunch of kids.
Uncle Tom was sitting by the fire with Aunt Mariah, telling old stories and laughing about their adventures in China. My grandma was talking with my dad about how nice the cabin was and how she was having a lot of fun. All in all, everyone was
