I choose this article because I thought it related well to module 13, Recruitment and Selections. This in-depth article that deals with how to go out and recruit new employees over the old standard way of advertising, resumes, and job experience. It explains six different approaches on ways to over come stereotypical hiring methods were a good part of our decisions rest in the shadowy collection of vague impressions. It can be called many things from intuition to a gut reaction. If you really think about it this should be the companys number one priority because, without the right employees the company will suffer. When a company layoffs workers, each remaining worker has a greater effect on the company?s performance. With the fast paced global economy you need more than just an order clerk. You also need that person to, fill in as a salesperson or analyze operations like a consultant, somebody who can contribute to the whole business.
