My Day of Realization
Another boring quarterly meeting had been called for my co-workers and I to attend in order to inform us of the new business plan for the new year, as well as letting us know of the millions of dollars that the company brought in the previous year. Dreading the next three hours of lectures and group workshops, we all drudged into the spacious meeting room and quietly took our seats. Shortly after the lectures began, I looked around the room, only to notice more than a few droopy-eyed cat-nappers and others trying to pass the time doodling all over their fresh-off-the-press employee handbooks. I had to do something to keep my fellow peers awake!
I quickly began to search for something ? anything ? I could use as material for a quiet joke to present to the people at my table. To my right was my best friend, Shelly, who was two seconds away from experiencing REM. Obviously this was nothing that I could make a joke out of.
