Martin Luther King, Jr. was born Tuesday, January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia, to the proud parents Reverend Martin Luther King, Sr., and Alberta Williams King. On June 18, 1953, Martin Luther King, Jr. married his wife Coretta Scott at her home in Marion, Alabama. Together they had four children their names are: Yolanda Denise, Martin Luther III, Dexter Scott, and Bernice Albertine. Martin Luther King had a tremendous impact on the world during his time and in the world today. He is not the only person who played a role in changing the world but he definitely stands out as one of the most influencing. He truly changed the world that we live in today by never giving up on his beliefs and always going to extra mile no matter what it cost.
Segregation and Racism was a major problem and in 1954, major changes started occurring. The Supreme Court ruling of Brown vs. the Board of Education ruled that segregation in public schools was unconstitutional.
