Mormon Religion, What it is and why it?s a cult

Religion has become a point of persecution for many people. To others it is a test of strength and faith. Nevertheless, among this persecution from people with no faith, some religions are persecuted by others in the Christian community. One of the churches most greatly affected by this persecution is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is more commonly known as the Mormon Church, after the Book of Mormon. The Mormon Religion is said to be a Christian religion. However, Mormons not only claim to be Christians, but to be the only true Christians. Mormonism began in the early ninetieth century, amidst the religious movement, the Second Great Awakening. Joseph Smith, then a fourteen-year-old boy, had a vision telling him that the true church was not in this world. During the 1820s, while he worked on the families? farm, he was greatly inspired by many supernatural encounters. He developed his own religious ideas.
