In this paper I will discuss the important issues related to gangs that I have chosen to do research on. I am going to give solutions to the problems from our short stories that I have read this week, and also criticize the authors? point of view. Furthermore, I am going to answer the questions being raised by the authors?, by showing good solutions or points that I have found in some articles while I was researching. To conclude it all I will show who is responsible for the uprise in gangs in our communities and also share some of my own personal experiences with gangs.
The essay from our reader Luis Rodriguez ?La Vida Loca? shows us the two life-lines of two gang members. Luis joined a gang back when he was only thirteen years old. I believe that Luis was tired of being lonely, unpopular, and having no friends that he believed that the best solution for him was to go and join a gang.
