General Motors was founded on September 16, 1908 by William Carpo (Billy) Durant. GM is one of the world?s largest vehicle manufactures and has expanded worldwide. GM offers products and services to millions of people worldwide.
Over the years GM has established global partnerships with Fuji Heavy Industries, Ltd., Isuzu Motors Ltd. and Suzuki Motor Corp. of Japan and Fiat Auto Spa of Italy. GM operates on of the world?s largest financial services, which is GMAC. This company offers automotive, mortgage and business financing and provides insurance to customers worldwide. GM also has a program called OnStar that focuses on vehicle safety, security and on information services.
