Martin Luther King Jr.
It was a hot summer day. People from all over came to see
one man make one simple speech. The people only knew that it
was about equal rights. They had no idea that this speech would
change the way that whites look at African Americans. The people
never knew that the outcome of this speech, that they were about
to hear, would end up so famous. Martin Luther King?s speech
began with a simple statement which had every audience member
listening to him.
?I am happy to join with you today in what will go down in
history as the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of
our nation….?(King).
Martin Luther King Jr. was one man in our history that was
determined to make a difference. Through out all of his struggles
he kept with his dream in hope for a much better future for both
American and African American. Many other people throughout his
time tried to change the way that things were but no one delivered
it like Martin Luther King did. After Martin Luther King was
accused of causing a disturbance in jail, he was carried out because
people no longer wanted to listen to him (Twentieth 886). By this
time he was
