made by Trevor Lung during the “Mr. Big” operation is the part of coercive police practice which targeted the socially isolated and impoverish man to uplift his lifestyle by paying him large amount of cash which lured him in to a false confession. Therefore, this confession should be excluded from the evidence.
Facts
4. Trevor Lung is 20 years old construction worker and his girlfriend Lisa Kidney both lived in Winnipeg and had been dating since grade 12 in high school.
5. On June 30, 2015, Trevor Lung and Lisa kidney spend the night at Trevor’s grandparents cabin (lung cabin) in Lake Manitoba and On July 01, 2015 left to celebrate Canada day at mutual friend Samantha Brian’s auntie cabin (Brian Cabin) which is also in Lake Manitoba with a group of other friends.
6. On the evening of July 01, 2015, the couple got into a fight because Lisa had been rumored to have been spending time at Lake Manitoba with a man named Dave who was in his early 30s. Around 11pm on that night Trevor and Lisa got into a big fight and Trevor left the party intoxicated and Lisa left after him approximately around 12:15 am to speak with him.
7. On July 2nd, 2015, Constable Hank Schrader of the Lake Manitoba RCMP received a call from Lisa’s mother Susan Kidney about that she hasn’t heard from her daughter since last night which is unusual. She informed the officer that Lisa was at Trevor’s cabin in Lake Manitoba for Canada’s day.
8. Cst. Schrader arrived at Trevor’s grandparents cabin and noticed a large bonfire was still smouldering. He knocked on the door which was answered by person identified as Trevor Lung. Trevor said that Lisa and he broke up last night and she left to stay at
