hess is an indoor sport which is played on square board having 64 small squares presented in 8 rows called ranks and 8 columns called files. It is a game which is played with patience and concentration between two players.Each player has 16 different pieces which includes:
1.eight pawns
2.two knights
3.two bishops
4.two rooks
5.one queen
6.one king
The aim of each player is to try and ‘checkmate’ the king of the opposite player. ‘Check’ is giving a try to checkmate and win the game. Each player tries to move on to other side of the board. One player has 16 pieces of light colour(White) and other player too has 16 pieces but of dark colour(Black).
