Born on July 15th, 1858 in Moss Side, Manchester, Emmeline Pankhurst was destined to change the world. The influence from her pro-women rights parents definitely had a positive impact on Emmeline’s success. Emmeline was arrested multiple times. Giving speeches like “The plight of women” and “Freedom or death” rumbled the British government. During World War I, there were little to no men to run the factories. But, Emmeline convinced women to take the place of men. When the British Government saw this, they realized that a woman’s potential is equal or better than a man’s.
