The sequence of development is the pattern which a child will follow when developing for example a baby will roll over then sit then be able to crawl or bum shuffle .The rate is how quickly a child does this for example a child might be able to walk by 9months and another might not till they are 18 months. Every child will reach their milestones at different times but they will always be in the same pattern.
