The Industrial Revolution had many different impacts in both good and bad ways but for the most part I think the outcome of it was very negative. The revolution caused massive pollution,ad horrible working conditions and consisted to much of child labor. Many things changed for the good of people but for the environment overall it was a disaster. After the Industrial Revolution because of so many new machines and factories the environment became a more hazardous and dangerous place to live. The air was become polluted and nature was dying. It caused urbanization to where places became overly crowded. The people who had to work in the factories were usually very poor and didn’t make a good amount of money to support themselves or their family. These families had to lived in very harsh environments where it lacked sanitation, clean water and no sewage. The streets were filled with trash and the uncleanness of their environment caused many diseases which also lead to people dying. especially because they had no health care system and no way to get better other then what the had in their homes, which wasn’t much. Now as for the factory work, That was just as bad. The working environment was dangerous and they had no equipment to keep them safe. Having to work in the steel mills with no safety equipment is a life or death situation. As you could imagine several people were even harmed or died due to this. Shifts lasted from 12 to 14 hours with a very small break. If you were hurt, or sick or even complained you would get fired. To make things worse women and children had to work in the mills as well. They were hard because owners could pay them less. Women with children were expected to work 12 hour shifts and still had to cook and clean when they would get home. Workers protested against the harsh working environment but they would get violently beat by British government. For the people who opened up the factories, they would just become more rich as for the workers were always poor. The Industrial Revolution brought severe consequences to society. I’m sure that those who had to work in these factories or had to live in such horrible conditions would say the Industrial Revolution bought to many negative outcomes as do I as well.
