I believe the correctional system is resentful because the correctional system treat the inmates like animals and they are not considered “humans” to the system. “All told, 29 states are operating either individual institutions or entire prison systems under orders from Federal judges who found conditions in jails or prisons so intolerable as to be unconstitutional.” (Jr. W.R 1982) When prisons fail to look after the inmates due to not giving them proper health care, proper air ventilation, flooding and overcrowding in the prison. Federal judges step in and help these inmates because they may find the conditions to be cruel and unsanitarry.
