The definition of Library is a “place where a building or room containing collections of books, periodicals, and sometimes films and recorded music for people to read, borrow, or refer to.” However, I think a Library is not only a place for a collection of books and periodicals held in. People do not go to Library only to borrow books, but sometimes for social interactions between friends, student and faculties. Therefore, it comes to me that it might be very interesting if I do my social observation in a Library.
I did my observation in Highline Library, on mondays and fridays evening, and both were around 1:30pm. The Library is a very busy during Monday’s evening. It is always full and we often have to wait for thirty minutes at least to meet a tudor unless you have an appointment. There are few significant things I found during these two days of observations:
First how everyone was so focus on their homeworks,  how the tutoring was helping the student with such a detail, and letting them try next. I specially like how the groups were working together, they were friendly.
Second, being an international student, I can somehow sense some differences between international students who is not native English speaker especially from Somalia and Americans. And I notice that There was very little interaction between the English native speakers and international student I don’t the reason but I assume that was how they feel comfortable.
