Children have got right to be protected from any harm and all kind of abuse, such as neglect, social,emotional,physical and sexual abuse. 
They have got right to be involved in making decisions which can affect them, such as moving them from their homes or taking them to social services. 
 They have got right not to have unnecessary examinations or questioning because they get confused and depressed when asked the same questions repeatedly. 
They have got right to be kept informed of the process and the actions that need to be taken to protect them from harm. 
 Rights of parents 
The rights that parents have depend on each situation. For example, if the abuse is happening in the nursery and a member of staff has witnessed the abuse happening or the child has made any allegation against a member of staff. IN this situation parents have got right to be kept informed of the process and actions that need to be taken for the welfare of the child. 
 
In case where child is found to be suffering then parents have no rights. For example, if the abuse is happening at home or the parents of the child are abusers and the child discloses the abuse to a practitioner then parents have got no right to get informed of the process of safeguarding and protecting the child.
