The United Health’s commission statement is, “We seek to enhance the performance of the health system and improve the overall health and well-being of the people we serve and their communities and will have the courage to acknowledge mistakes and do whatever is needed to address them”(United health group, 2012) United Health Group hold their staff and employers to great standards during patient care such as “integrity, compassion, relationships, innovation, and performance” (United health Group, 2012).

In next decade, they want to provide healthcare for every citizen and want to provide it in a cost that anyone requiring healthcare can take. United Health Group wants to make quality of life better by working on ideas and innovations that can make the healthcare and education sector better. United Health Group links with other organizations to work with and creating inventions to help and make the society understand the healthy lifestyles best to adapt for the best future. The youth ambassador program with 4H is one of the examples, in which youth are working in local communities and they are uniquely qualified to be a catalyst in bringing change.

United Healthcare is a really large organization which has 185,000 employees in almost 25 countries. According to statistics they serve about a million patients and customers every year. “The company serves more than 6,000 hospital facilities and 247,000 healthcare professional or groups. They have direct relationships with 6,000 hospitals and care facilities and 820,000 physicians and caregivers” (United Health Group: Corporate Fast Facts, 2015). This organization is really up ahead in its technology use as they are always updated and provide the best services anyone can offer. United healthcare uses anyway possible to serve anyone who approaches them, using email system as well for people who need those services at home for house calls. In short their vision is to improve the lifestyle to the healthiest for each individual around the world and to attain the best outcomes for patients as they are working hard together to organize, support, deliver care and finance and at the same time improve and increase their network in size so everyone can benefit from the organization.

United Health Care constructed an innovative “Center for Nursing Advancement” (CNA) (“United Healthcare,” 2013). CNA supports nurses and engage them in “training, teaching, and mentoring, to overcome the challenges of nursing career and encounter the high standard of care” (“United Healthcare,” 2013). The Center for Nursing Advancement will act as a conduit for UnitedHealth Group’s focus on nurse engagement strategies and the training, coaching and mentoring of its nurse professionals. As a result, UnitedHealth Group nurses will be better positioned to meet and support the evolving demands of health care consumers. Additionally, UnitedHealth Group nurses will be part of a team of colleagues that lead the design of new care-delivery models necessary to solve the challenges facing the nursing profession and vital to achieving health care modernization.
