People love to talk about all of the negatives of social media. Although there are negatives there are just as much positives. With the youth these days getting more exposed to the internet it helps their daily lives more.
Love is a beautiful thing and it sometimes comes to play over social media. Throughout the years people have been produced websites like Match.com, Tinder, Eharmony that help you to meet new people. They base it off your interests (what you like and what you dislike). When you go online, you can speak your own mind without feeling like you’re in the wrong for saying it. Social media gives you a voice to say anything negative or positive. With that voice, you can find an individual with the same thoughts and perspectives as you. It’s even better with older people especially ones who are divorced or have just left a relationship of any kind. They’re many sites out there too for older people of any age.
Social media has been a voice for people who are voiceless. Many social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter are used by youth to create a voice. For example, Facebook has groups called “Disability is not a inability”. This group helps people to see how others treat the disabled. They share their life stories and how they became stronger instead of dwelling on the past.They help others who are going through the same thing as them and who are struggling.These types of websites are started by youth that know everyone deserves to be treat equally. Social media is a perfect platform for that.
Social Media has given teens the ability to learn skills that are important in the real life. Youth interaction on social media so frequently it prepares them for future instances in a workplace. While texting to their boss they use proper type of text which would improve their reading and writing skills. Sites like youtube give people educational videos that give anyone the option to practice or develop various skills. For example; playing a instrument, sports, and cooking. Social media even helps kids to mold their character to be independent and confident in order to be heard. Which eventually goes into their lives.
