• Policies and procedures of health and safety are there to help everyone how to do something or what must be in place to make everyone safe.

Responsibilities of:-
• Self – find your exit upon arrival in someone’s house, report anything that could cause trips or falls I.e. frayed carpet. Secure windows and doors on exit. Check all equipment before use e.g. electrical working correctly, no frays on hoist sling. Document everything down for the next carer to see.
• Employer – overall responsible for all employees, to provide a safe place to work, training to work safely and safe equipment to use.
• Others – should act in a way to not cause accidents or Ill health. To report any hazards this could be works for family member.

• Medication- administration, storage, documenting
• First aid
