Job analysis is the operation that identifies tasks, obligations, responsibilities, required qualifications, science and knowledge etc. for an individual for a job. Job analysis is done for recruitment, to measure the employee’s need for training and evaluation. On the other hand Job, the design is an allocation of tasks to an employee or group of employees in an establishment. Job design determines those jobs, tasks and responsibilities and employee (group) have to do. Job design and Job analysis differ not merely in their role of conception but also their timing of executing. That means Job design is performed before Job analysis. Job analysis is done when a new task is created or job nature and method is altered due to modifications in technology or requirements. Job design mainly focuses on work division and effective execution of projects and job completion, whereas Job analysis is about the effective and appropriate choice of nominees. Job design attempts to implement the available manpower effectively and efficiently, but Job analysis deals with the required skills, qualification of employees who are to be delegated jobs. Job analysis covers a wide scope of information viz. Job description, Job Specification, Job Design, Recruitment and Selection process, Compensation and remunerating employees. Job analysis defines about the evaluation of employees too. Job design deals with business objectives and structuring works. From the optic of a handler in an arrangement, effective selection of candidates is important. The right person for a good job and the right line of work for the good person is very important. The manager will fail if they attempt to turn the donkey to a horse that means the manager should know the skill, knowledge of the soul. If a manager fails on Job analysis, then it is extremely probable that wrong person is recruited and chosen. Selection of the wrong person will make job design complex. Proper job design is needed for achieving maximum efficiency, to achieve organization goals. So if the manager doesn’t have proper knowledge of Job Design and Job Analysis he cannot decide the appropriateness of a candidate/employee and cannot assign job properly then the society cannot reach its ends.
