Wikipedia is one of the most popular and commonly used websites on the internet which ranked the fifth-most popular website. It provides all the information I could ask for. When I type any question into the Google Search Bar and I’ll get your answer immediately and Wikipedia is always one of the first results. Although it is a great tool for anyone to use, it still provides some wrong information. Because anyone in the world can edit or write their own sections of info. Despite knowing that, I still use Wikipedia to find multiple sources of information not only because it is usually the first result in my search, but also gives me a short summary of what I am finding In Wikipedia, it also references some other website that Wikipedia gets information from that. So that I can visit these websites and get more information to add to it and get a correct information. When I study in my country, my teacher did not talk about this much. However, when I studied in Canada, I have to write a lot of assignments and have to search much information for my assignments. All of my teachers said that we do not use Wikipedia as a source of information because they believe it to be wrong in some aspects of the information it is providing. I personally still use it because I know how to check my sources of information and always make sure that things are correct. Sometimes, I also find some wrong information on Wikipedia, but I still use it. It is wrong some stuff does not mean that all the information are wrong. If because of that, we do not use Wikipedia, it is unfair. The searcher should find the way to use Wikipedia effectively.
