Jackson’s knowledge argument is one of the prime opposition to physicalism, the principle that the globe is fully physical (Malatesti 33). This argument is based on the idea that physically is comprehensible. In that, the kind of knowledge after seeing something for the first time is just an informational one rather than an acquaintance or sensational one. The conclusion that this argument that demonstrates that physicalism is false is based on the ground that if physicalism was true then a first experience would give an individual complete knowledge and experience of the world which is never the case (Malatesti 32). In that, after one sees a black care then a yellow one a fresh experience is acquired distinct from the previous one. This, therefore, shows that the physical truth is not comprehensive because it only offers informational knowledge but one might lack the experience of the conscious thing. One is able to learn about qualia the characteristics that feature all that it is like and the fresh phenomenal knowledge incorporates knowledge regarding the actual truth. Thus, physicalism is untruthful.
