In Jonathan Kozol overlook of the homeless being eliminated from society, there is connection between the problem at hand and our economical increase. Many people believe that the homeless are part of mental patients let out due to lack of holding space. This is not at all the reason to the increase of homeless people since that time. Many have passed away or have found someway to make it on their own. Also there is reason to think that the homeless have increased to the abandonment of many low-income housing.
The main reason for the incline of so many homeless people is caused by our economical increase. The biggest part of this problem is the lack of homes for the low-income people. They have raised the standards of most Americans to support the fast growth of bigger, expensive housing. Also the decreasing value of many low-level housing has not helped this situation. Also with these problems comes the lack of welfare for families with children. These families are being laid-off from jobs and end up working in low paying jobs.
