Anne Frank was born in Germany just before WWII. She was a young Jewish girl who hid away for two years in an attic in Amsterdam during the Holocaust. Her story is famous because her diary tells a story about her family during WWII.
Anne Frank had a regular childhood. She was born on June 12, 1926 into a loving family of four, her father Otto, mother Edith, and sister Margot. Anne attended the Montessori School and had many friends as a child. Just like any other child, Anne had many hopes and dreams for the future. She dreamed of one day becoming a movie star or an author. Anne Frank had a childhood just like most children of her time.
As Anne got older, Germany began to become unsafe for Jewish people. Anne and her family were forced to move from their home in Germany to Amsterdam where things were much safer.
