up and lit up the sparkling snowflakes that lay on the ground. School had been delayed due to the few inches of powdery snow that had fallen the night before. My brother Dave, my neighbor Ross, and I, were playing in this beautiful snow with my year old German Sheppard, Jenny. Jenny loved to play in the snow, and she also loved to take advantage of any chance to run away. She delighted in being chased.
Ross had Jenny by her leash, but he did not possess the strength to hold her. Jenny saw something of interest and decided to bolt toward it, and Ross being the weakling that he is lost his grip. As Jenny bolted off around the yard in utter stupidity, it took her awhile to realize our mishap and take full advantage of it. She began to sprint back and forth through our snow filled lot dodging her three baffled pursuers. Dave then snuck up on Jenny trying to grab her leash, but as he took hold of the leash, Jenny snapped forward breaking the mechanism that kept
