Action Plan
Ranpak Corp has always been a company that has focused its results on individual performance. This is most evident on the factory floor where the number of skids produced is the ultimate measurement of performance. In order for Ranpak to mature into a company that can compete worldwide, it must instill in its employees that teamwork is needed in order to grow and prosper.
Ranpak Corp.; located in Concord Ohio, has been living a rather successful life, but a reoccurring problem of non-teamwork has impeded them from growing into a dominant company in the industry. Ranpak is in the business of converting paper products that can be used with Ranpak machines to create packaging material. It is considered one the preferred methods of shipping products because of its reliability and consistency. The problem that has never arisen was quality of the product but the amount of product that can be produced. Three shifts a day, five days a week, have been the standard for production for the past six years. Although this seems like a lot of man-hours, production can not seem to keep up.
