Miss Emily was a lonely and troubled soul. No matter how much people tried to help her, she would turn away, thinking that there was no problem with how she lived. She was slowly losing her sanity, losing the person that her father put on a pedestal. She wanted to be happy within her own self, but her father took that away from her. He shunned her from the world. She could not have any friends. He considered them to be a distraction. She was the only child, and she was used to getting what she wanted. As she grew into an older woman, she still felt that she had that power over people, regardless of what they said.
