Society Analysis
In the book Fahrenheit 451, Beatty (a fireman that works with Montag) is a very logical person. He thinks before he speaks, and gives a good rebuttal on any subject. His views of their world are strikingly similar to that of the world we live in today. His ideals and thoughts strongly resemble that of which we live in today. He thinks like a person that might have lived in our time and then been somehow sent back in time to the 1950?s.
In the book, he gives a description of his environment, the government, and the society in that time. The odd part of his description is that it is strikingly familiar to that of today. The resemblance between his society and ours is scary at first. When he describes something, it is like he is looking at our society. All of his descriptions are from his point of view. Therefore, they will show his opinion on the topic that they are describing.
In a discussion between Beatty and Montag, Beatty describes the totalitarian society in which they both live. Many of the things he describes of their society have a strong similitude to our own society today. The
