Terence McKenna was a author, explorer, and a sharp and quick wited public speaker. Born in the late fortys during the baby boom, he was raised in a religiuoly dominated small town in Colorado where he got his thrills collecting bugs and launching rockets. He attended U.C. Berkeley for two years before setting off on a more than epic journy into the depths of the Amazon in search of the people, tribes, and plants where he would help to to turn the world as he, his brother, and counter-culture america knew it completly around.
He found himself in the first ever mass killing feild, Long before the Holocuast, Cambodia, or The Atomic Age, the Rubber feilds of the Amazon from WW1 were the site of mass graves. Here the people of the jungle were forced to supply rubber for the war to the allies. If they failed to meet their outstanding quotas, the diferance was made up by removing an equal weight in their own flesh.
