Fanny Crosby was born on March 24, 1820,in south east Putman county, New York, From the age of six weeks she was blind, for sometime while Fanny was still a baby her eyesight was normal, but when she was only six weeks old she got sick with a cold causing inflamation in her eyes. The family did know what to do so they called the family Doctor, He was not home at the time so instead they called a doctor that they did not know. The doctor came and put hot poultices in Fanny?s eyes and lost her eyesight forever, When the Crosby?s finely started to realize what had happen the doctor was made to leave the town. For many years the Crosby?s look for
