The Art Room
The enormous blue door, with a sign in the middle reading ?The Art
Room,? stuck when it opened and creaked when it closed. The handle was slimy and consumed fingerprints of glaze. The fumes of the glazes were overwhelming, almost too strong. The faint smell of clay only grew stronger when approaching the back of the room. In the front of the room it smells of glazes and chemicals.
When coming to the middle of the room there is an invisible feeling of warmth due to the kiln room. In there are 3 kilns: a big one, a medium sized one and a smaller one, that when all on make the temperature of the room tremendously hot and almost unbearable at times. The largest kiln of the three is broken and has a trash bag covering the lid that read DO NOT TOUCH in bold capital letters. The room itself is an extraordinary diminutive room. Only a few students can be in the room at a time because of the size. To the right and left of the room board shelves to hold art work of all kinds. Dry art work goes
