Bleeding Rain
People enter and leave our lives, things change and the world continues to spin; the sun continues to rise. Every once and again we come across someone who can completely change our lives. One action, one smile, one word, one long kiss goodbye? nearly anything can leave a lasting impression on all things to come. Standing in the rain, I can only vision the pale face that helped me see the brighter side of life. All we had to keep our minds from slipping out of consciousness that calm summer morning was an occasional whistle dusting the maple leaves, maple leaves which shaded our strawberry noses. The decrescendo in every song the barn swallow sang led me to believe even he was intoxicated by the sweet summer stillness.
