What would you do with close to ten billion dollars Would what you do with the money change if it
came from your father who abandoned you at birth Could your religious beliefs have any say in this situation
These are all questions I had never thought about before I read The Testament by John Grisham Reading this
book it made me think about what is truly important in life. Is it making money, having a happy family, or just
living your life to the fullest In The Testament a women must choose what is of most importance in her life, her
faith or money.
The best strength I think John Grisham has is he makes characters believable. He shows their strengths,
but also their weaknesses. He develops them quickly by telling their stories briefly, but thoroughly. Take Nate
O?Riley for example. He is a recovering drugatic/alcoholic, and you find this out in the first couple of chapters.
You learn about Troy Phelan from the opening paragraph; from him you learn about his greedy children, because
Troy is signing his last will and testament and his children can?t wait to get their hands on all his money.
